We offer three levels of the 4L60E transmission. Our stage 1 performance 4L60E transmission is adequate for the majority of street rods with around 420 hp. If you need a stronger unit then you may need our stage 2, 4L65E. This transmission comes is capable of handling that 500 hp engine. Finally we have our stage 3, this is our strongest 4L70E transmissions available

ZGP 4L70-E 2WD Four-Speed Automatic Transmission

The automatic SuperMatic 4L70-E 2WD/4WD transmission is designed to complement any performance rear wheel drive application with exceptional strength and the shift characteristics enthusiasts want. Stronger version than the production based 4L60-E, features five pinion gear sets, heat treated stator shaft splines, seven plate clutch, and more. It is also capable of handling increased horsepower and torque. This transmission has the capability to use either the ZGP TCM2800/4800 Controller and harness or the Simpleshift Controller TCM5311. Both systems are designed to operate with GMLAN, J1939 or Analog TPS and RPM. The controller come with a base tune. They also include optional connections that allow adjusting a number of calibration settings, including shift timing and shift firmness

– Use SuperMatic™ converter for direct bolt up to Gen I and Gen II engines
– Tested up to 430 lb-ft of torque
– Does not include torque converter.
